I think the shading is rough and flat because you did them with zigzags. You might want to fill them up with varying pressure. That way, you'll get
different values and create depth.
The lines are also flat. Like shading, you need to add variation to create depth. Use thicker/darker lines in areas opposite of the light source and vice
versa. Some of the lines are shaky/rugged and it shows that you have a lack of control. However, keep drawing and it'll fade away.

Just fine... I'm trying to finish the last half of a book, if I could keep from sleeping while in mid-chapter, lol.
